From August 5 to 9, we’ll be competing in the Tipsport Open Cup #1 international tournament, which will take place at the Vodafone PLAYzone Arena in Prague. Over the course of five days, 12 teams from around the world will compete not only for cash prizes but also for valuable VRS points.
The total prize pool is €11,000. The winning team will take home €6,000, second place €2,500, third place €1,500, and fourth place €1,000.
The tournament will begin with a group stage featuring 8 teams divided into two groups of four. Each team will play against every opponent in its group (Round Robin, all matches best-of-three), and the top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. The four highest-seeded teams according to the July VRS rankings will advance directly to the playoffs. The knockout stage will then be played using a double-elimination format, with all matches also in the Bo3 format.
